Secure Transaction Guidelines
Learn how payments are processed and protected when shopping through GlobalShopify.
What methods of payment are officially accepted?
We facilitate secure payments via several major providers and methods:
- Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
- Accelerated Checkouts: PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
- Internal Tender: Valid GlobalShopify store credit and gift cards.
All transactions require full payment at the time the order is placed.
How do you ensure the security of my payment data?
We prioritize data protection through adherence to stringent industry standards:
- PCI Compliance: All sensitive payment data is handled by PCI DSS compliant third-party processors.
- Encryption: Data transmission is secured using SSL/TLS encryption to protect your personal and financial details.
- Non-Storage: We do not store credit card numbers on our internal servers after transaction completion.
What is the official transaction currency?
The standard currency for all pricing and transactions on our Site is the U.S. Dollar (USD).
- Non-USD Payments: If your payment card is issued in a non-USD currency, your bank or payment provider will determine the currency conversion rate and may apply a foreign transaction fee. We are not responsible for these external charges.
What are the liabilities for sales tax and customs duties?
- Domestic Taxes: Applicable sales tax is calculated based on the shipping destination and added to the order total at checkout.
- International Duties: For international shipments, the customer is fully responsible for all Customs Duties, VAT, Import Taxes, and related fees. These charges are not collected by GlobalShopify and are payable upon delivery in your country.
When exactly will my account be charged?
Funds are authorized and captured immediately upon successful completion of the checkout process. This ensures that product inventory is secured and order processing can commence without delay.
Why are my billing details required to match my card issuer's records?
This is a critical security measure utilizing the Address Verification System (AVS). To prevent unauthorized transactions, the billing address submitted must exactly match the address linked to your payment card on file with your bank.
Failure to match may result in a payment failure or order review for potential fraud.
What steps should I take if my transaction is declined?
If your payment is unsuccessful, please verify the following details before attempting to re-submit:
- Confirmation that the card number, expiry date, and CVV code are accurate.
- Validation that the billing address is precisely correct according to the AVS policy.
- Contact your bank or card issuer to confirm adequate funds or inquire about transaction limitations.
